MRE inc. [ Modder Racing Enterprises ] is the driving force behind The Dragons Fyre Jet Truck..an NHRA/IHRA certified 1940 Ford pick up truck powered by a GE J-85-17 turbo jet engine.
Built between the Fall of 2010 and Spring of 2011, by owner/driver Dave Modder, it was preceded by MRE's The Dragon's Fyre Jet DRAGSTER which ran from 1998-2010. Since the completion of our 1940 Ford jet truck in 2011, and its first run at EAA Airventure in 2012, it has traveled to 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile race tracks around the majority of the midwest United States, several Southern states and Canada as a " Feature Performer". The Dragon's Fyre also participates in organized airshows, static displays and a wide variety of charity car shows.
- Partnered with the NFFF, National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, we participate in a " fill the boot " campaign at our events to help raise funds for the families of fallen firefighters.
